Hardin County was derived from Nelson County in 1792.  This book contains tax records of Hardin County for the years 1793-1807.  Information includes the following:   taxpayer’s name, number of acres owned, name of county if in another county than Hardin, water course the land is near and number of Blacks.  Tax records provide a way to determine when a person moved into the county, when they came of age (21) or when they moved out of the county or died.  Every name index.  155 pages, Mylar cover and coil bound.
